Collectible Pirot kilims are over 50 years old, unused, and fully preserved. They hold great value as witnesses to the long history of Pirot kilim weaving. Their care and maintenance have been given the utmost attention. Kilim has carefully selected and acquired these antique kilims, making them a special part of our collection. They are ideal for enthusiasts of traditional kilims and larger designs reminiscent of those woven in the past.
In addition to our online collection, where you can find detailed information about each kilim – from dimensions and, for collector’s items, their age, to the symbolism behind their specific patterns – you can also contact us to arrange a viewing of your desired model in person in Belgrade.
Pirot kilims are made from the wool of the indigenous Pramenka sheep breed, bringing the spirit of Pirot directly into your home. As they are handcrafted on a vertical loom, creating a single kilim can take a significant amount of time, but this is precisely what makes each kilim a unique work of art.
The collector’s kilims in our collection are not produced by Kilim. Instead, our partners from the “Damsko Srce” cooperative have carefully inspected and selected kilims that have fully preserved their value and tradition. These kilims have been acquired exclusively from the Pirot region and are typically larger in size. Although some of these antique Pirot kilims are as old as 100 years, they are perfectly preserved and unused, ensuring they meet all your expectations.
The “Damsko Srce” cooperative specializes in assessing the authenticity of these kilims, ensuring that all collector’s kilims acquired so far are absolutely unique and genuine.
